It was a great experience - I think some of the images do justice to the amazing spectacle I saw that morning! I'd be keen to come down on another morning and shoot some portraits if anyone would be willing to smile for the camera again?

There will people down there pretty much every Sunday throughout the year- we usually only cancel it if there are road closures that stop us getting to the beaches (like the Round the Bays Run day). The numbers drop off a bit through winter time down to the hard-core 10-15 swimmers but from October onwards it gets busier as the water warms up and people start preparing for the ocean swim series.

Feel free to drop down whenever you have the time or inclination. If there's something specific you want to try out, just get in touch with Barb or myself and we'll see if we can help you.

 

PS - if anyone from the squad wants a copy of one of the pics for personal use, what's the process? Do you charge for this or was this assignment covered through WCC?
